Jan. 10Class: Kumihimo (Japanese braiding) by HL Diana Cartier. Learn how to make a Kumihimo key chain or bookmark. Class limit is probably 10, with a cost of about $5 to cover the cost of the supplies to make and take a Keychain or bookmark home. To add your name to her roster, please contact her at mrstrucker_58@yahoo.com.

Planning meeting: for Candlemas organizers.
Jan. 17Class: The Surprisingly Fashionable Rectangle – 500+ Years of Style by HL Caterina da Savona. New to the SCA? or new(ish) to sewing? Learn about ways to build on your basic garb to create a look that reflects a historical time and place, using simple layers, legwear, and headwear. This class was taught at the recent event of Collegium. The class consists of about 45-50 min of “lecture” followed by an open forum for practice/ discussion.

Practice Session (tentative): for the Dragon’s Laire Instrumental Chorus
Jan. 24Class: Hand-Sewing And Decorative Stitches by Countess Elisabeth de Rossignol and Marquessa Laurellen du Brandevin. The structure of the class is in development now. More information to follow.
Jan. 31Class: How To Work at Gate For Events by HL Jessy Gateman and HL Pernell Camber. This will be taught in preparation for the upcoming event of Candlemas, but it is a great learning opportunity for anyone who would like to volunteer time at Gate in the foreseeable future.

We’re looking forward into February. We have one class in development (block printing with HL Skalla and Marquessa Laurellen) but we want at least one more.
