What can we expect? – Sunday

The day starts with the remaining martial championship tournaments for the Barony of Dragon’s Laire. Merchants may still be open, and perhaps siege weapon demos. Everything winds up around noon, with a final court to crown our new Champions. There’s a lot to pack up, and then everyone goes home.

Baronial Rapier Championship Tournament

  • 8:30-9:00 Lists open/close. It is suggested you get there early if you wish to compete for Champion. Non-competing entrants will be at Their Excellencies discretion and not guaranteed.
  • 9 AM Championship : Format dependent on participants, but HE Conrad will be fighting destructive bouts
  • 11:30 Closing Court : The new Champion will be invested at this time.

Baronial Archery Championship Tournament

  • 9:30 AM equipment inspection, lists
  • 10:00 AM Championship Tournament

3 rounds

Round 1: Archers choice: 6 arrow 30 yards standard scoring, either one minute or 30 seconds. If you choose the 30, you get 1 additional point for every 2 seconds under 30, minus 2 point for every arrow that does not score.

Round 2: Combat KUBE. 6 arrows, 6 targets, 5 points per each one knocked over. Using combat arrows and bow, fire at the target that range in size from 9”-24” at various ranges from the same stop on the shooting line.

Round 3: Tiebreaker or shootout. The “Parting” shot.

Archers stand with their back to the target, knock an arrow pointed at the ground. At the marshals command, turn their body but not their feet, draw, and shoot the target within 5 seconds. Closest to the center wins.

I’ll have score sheets for easy calculation. And all who wish can shoot but only those who have declared can become champion.

The rest I will submit to the GAT.

Closing Baronial Court

11:30 PM: See our new Champions be sworn in, and say goodbye to June Faire friends — until next year!

Pack-Up and Load Out

1- 3 PM: Break down the pavilions and load the truck. Volunteers needed! Snacks and water!
3PM: Drive to the storage unit and help unload the truck.
