All of our martial practices are now on their summer schedule. Youth armored combat is revving up this year. Keep reading for all the details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scribal Guild meets in a private home once or twice a month (sometimes with a hybrid\/online option), and the Culinary guild typically alternates between the 4th Thursday and Saturday. The Barony does not publish the location of private homes; to get the address, please contact the Guild heads<\/a> via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 8<\/td>Tuesday Social and Fight Practice at the VFW <\/strong>starting at 6pm. <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
July 11–13<\/td>KINGDOM EVENT. July Coronation <\/strong>will be held in Kennewick, WA. More info on the Kingdom Calendar<\/a> and Facebook<\/a>. <\/td><\/tr>
July 13<\/td>Tuesday Social and Fight Practice<\/strong> at the VFW starting at 6pm.
ALSO: 3rd Tuesday<\/strong> scribal practice<\/strong> with the Baronial Scribe.
ALSO: Family-friendly\/all ages drum circle <\/strong>starting at 6:30. Come learn how to play drums as a group! Some loaner drums will be available – if you have one, please bring it! We’ll be outside, between the hall and the fighters field.<\/td><\/tr>

ALSO: 4th Tuesday Bardic night<\/strong>. This is a drop-in activity, and all skill levels are welcome. Bring what you\u2019re working on, test out your piece in front of a small audience, and\/or practice with the group.<\/td><\/tr>

July 26<\/td>NEARBY EVENT. Lord Defender<\/strong> will be hosted by Blatha an Oir in Tacoma, WA. This will feature their baronial armored combat and rapier championships — and a public demo, with artisans wanted. More info on the Kingdom calendar<\/a>.

These do NOT have to be simply ‘classes’. They can be lectures, demonstrations, roundtables, interactive discussions, etc.. The possibilities are endless. You can reach our <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Baronial Chatelaine, Aoife Aileanach<\/a> \"heraldic<\/a><\/span> is looking for people from Dragon’s Laire to give short lectures and vignettes on various subjects of the SCA. “I’m basically looking for an extension of what we have on display at June Faire (costume making, cooking info, weaving, spinning, metal work, archery equipment, etc).” These could be 15-min talks, just enough to give new members an introduction.
